    Waiting times, for anything, are painfully too long(7-8 hours minimum) even if it's not busy. The medical services are definitely not the best. Good luck if you have to go there!

    Not a very fast emergency room. All first communication is done in Spanish and is done unfriendly and slow. The speaker in the waiting room is very loud and unclear. The building needs a facelift. The staff needs more motivation.

    So many complaints about how Staff don´t speak English? Where do you think you are, the UK? If they complained that staff in UK hospitals didn´t speak Arabic or Polish or Swedish the Brits would say "Learn English"... you´d kick off. Why do you expect all Spanish medical staff to speak English??? Either learn to speak Spanish or take a translator. There are enough of us about!!

    After an accident with a car, I was taken to accident and emergency after having given the police my EHIC card and passport. I was treated with the utmost care and attention. After x-rays it was discovered I had fractured 3 toes on my left foot, surface of skin seared off (had 3 stitches on my toes),a small fracture on my left shinbone. Also, a fractured femur, right leg A pin was put through my right leg under the knee and was put on traction. Further x-ray were taken and I was immediately taken to the trauma ward. An operation was to take place 4 days later to insert a pin into my femur. All the doctors and surgeons treated me with the utmost respect and explained it is quite a big operation for me but not to worry as they will look after me. The care and attention received from ALL the nurses was wonderful and we all somehow managed to break through the language barrier. If I needed anything at any time, someone was there. My husband stayed by my bedside throughout my whole stay in hospital. This is encouraged by the hospital. Family and friends can visit any time which really lifts the moral of the patients. People laugh and chatter and this reflects on the patients. The surgeon was wonderful as was all his team. Bedding and night gown changed every day, wards spotless. I will never be able to thank all the staff enough for their excellent care. I was treated as an individual and nothing was any trouble. I hope this review can go some way to expressing my gratitude to everyone at La Villa Hospital. Thank you all.

    Hospital needs a revamp. Staff are so rude and disrespectful. Manners cost nothing. Would rather travel further.
